Delivery time: The reel mowers are handmade to customer specifications, the delivery time for a configuration with standard colors is currently approx. 4-5 weeks, for custom RAL colors the delivery time is approx. 7-9 weeks. Please note: the delivery time will be much longer from spring, so it is worth to order in time.
The Falkenstein features a robust, torsion-resistant, powder-coated 5 mm (0.2") steel housing and a cutting width of 40 cm (15.7").
The chain drive is propelled by partially hardened gears, which have been specially configured for the required drive range. The split rear roller with differential function protects the turf when turning. In addition, the freewheel functionality when reversing makes this lawn mower very straightforward and effortless to handle. The rear roller is made of stainless steel and designed with a 20 mm (0.8") precision stainless steel shaft, featuring multiple ball bearings to ensure it is very resistant to wear and tear and guaranteed a long service life.
The device's symmetrical weight distribution ensures the reel mower offers an identical cutting pattern on each side, optimal balance, and is easy to manoeuvre.

The spindle in the Falkenstein is made by hand by us and features a precise solid 25 mm(0.2") spindle shaft plus high-quality dust-protected self-aligning bearings. The relief angle of the blade enables a contactless cut and thus minimises wear on the cutting blades. The galvanised coating on the spindle prevents the coating from flaking off and the thinly applied zinc layer ensures a better cut by reducing the build-up of material.
The special cutting geometry named "Tournament Cut" ensures an optimal position for the lower blade in relation to the mowing height. The carefully designed angular cut and the use of hard-wearing materials make the lower blade extremely durable.
With a weight of approx. 46 kg (100Ibs) (without collection bag), the cylinder mower allows you to create optimal striped effects on the lawn. The handle is height-adjustable and suitable for use by individuals ranging in height from approx. 1.65 m to 2 m.
The handle of the Falkenstein is foldable and has a practical maintenance position that allows easy cleaning and maintenance. Thanks to the manual back-lapping function, the cylinder mower can regularly sharpen itself for optimal results and to reduce the need to sharpen the blades so frequently. A handle suitable for back lapping plus a professional water-based abrasive paste are included. Of course, as a manufacturer we also offer a sharpening and maintenance service and, if required, storage over the winter.
The cutting height is fully adjustable without becoming loose thanks to a mechanism that is easy to operate, thus enabling individual adjustment of the mowing height.
Our Falkenstein mower is ideal for a deep cut, the spindle should be selected according to the preferred mowing height:
- 6-blade spindle: recommended mowing height 15-25 mm / 0.6-1" (71 cuts per metre)
- 8-blade spindle: recommended mowing height 10-15 mm / 0.4-0.6" (95 cuts per metre)
- 10-blade spindle: recommended mowing height 5-10 mm / 0.2 - 0.6" (118 cuts per metre)
The enclosed grass collector is made of plastic and ensures clean and tidy collection of clippings and prevents the unwanted spread of foreign grass.
